A luxury Amsterdam houseboat for sale ("Amsterdam woonboot te koop") or Amsterdam houseboat for rent ("Amsterdam woonboot te huur") in central Amsterdam

Whether you're looking for an Amsterdam houseboat for sale, or seeking an Amsterdam houseboat for rent, you'll want to live in the center of the action - not waiting around for a bus or taxi to get you back to your Amsterdam accommodations.

"The Astarte Temple" is an Amsterdam houseboat for sale located at 1A Prinsengracht - in the heart of Amsterdam's picturesque, popular Jordaan Quarter.  This Amsterdam vacation rental is opposite bustling Noorderkerk Marketplace, a short stroll to Amsterdam's best stores, restaurants, cafes, night-clubs, galleries. But once you've boarded your Amsterdam vacation rental you are floating peacefully in your own private paradise (I must be nuts leaving lovely Amsterdam and all this idyllic houseboat life for the pandemonium of downtown Shanghai!)

Amsterdam houseboat for sale - entrance garden

(Left) Outside the Amsterdam houseboat, "The Astarte Temple", there's a small entrance garden, with tall bamboos.

(Right) The boat's roof is a garden, with flowers, herbs, a fountain, deck chairs and table, and a unique living grass Astarte "lounge chair". Let yourself sink into Astarte's earthy embrace; feel and smell the grass as you did when a child. (sinking into a deep sound sleep, more healthy, more relaxed...)

Owning or renting a Houseboat in Amsterdam - an interesting Amsterdam lodging Option

The houseboat overall is 15 x 5 meters. Inside is a studio layout suitable for 2 people, with large shower bathroom, walk-in closet, utility room. The bed is high so that people sitting on it can enjoy views of the Prinsengracht Canal through 5 windows. Watch the old Dutch boats cruise by, people on Brouwersgracht Bridge heading to the Marketplace, beautiful old buildings, cafes, the Amsterdam hotels  - and all of this reflected in the Prinsengracht, Princes' Canal. Near the bed a romantic fireplace burns. Cable TV, Internet connection, washer-dryer, microwave-oven, an oversupply of radiators to keep this ex-California boy WARM.

People tell me not to put any Hype in this website, so I won't. But I'll say that for myself, personally, living in a houseboat in the center of this beautiful and cultured city is more fun than I've had in a long time. If you 're thinking about Amsterdam houseboat accommodations, you might enjoy checking out this lovely option.

(Left) "The Astarte Temple" houseboat  is dedicated to Astarte,  the 3,000 year old  Phoenician goddess of Love, Fertility, and the Night.

(Right)  "The Astarte Temple" is moored at 1A Prinsengracht, just south of the Brouwersgracht Bridge. On the opposite side of Prinsengracht is the popular Noorderkerk Marketplace. Also within easy walking distance are three big supermarkets, the Post Office, and the Central Station, where the city's train, metro and bus lines converge. See My Amsterdam Favorites  for good shops, cafes and restaurants in this area.

I'd like to sell this lovely Amsterdam houseboat for its market value, or rent it out to one or two dependable type people for periods of no less than one month, hopefully much longer.

Are you dependable type people, now thinking about long-term vacation rentals in Amsterdam, searching the web for Amsterdam hotels and Amsterdam accommodations?  To get the real Amsterdam travel experience,
please contact me,  ra@rahalevi.com   (Whether you want to buy a houseboat in Amsterdam or rent, please do NOT  disturb the current tenants asking to see the boat,  but e-mail me to set up a time to visit.)

Or, if you now have money stuck in "dot.com" stocks that are driving you crazy as they keep losing value (!),  why not invest in the fact that Amsterdam will always have attraction for visitors from the world over.  As you know,  the three major factors deciding the value of real estate are "Location, Location and Location".  I can't imagine a better location than 1A Prinsengracht, the primo approved houseboat mooring site in the Jordaan Quarter - which many locals consider to be Amsterdam's most desirable place to live. If you're dreaming about attractive Amsterdam houseboats for sale  ("woonboot te koop")
please contact me,  ra@rahalevi.com   (And again, whether you want to buy a houseboat in Amsterdam or rent, please do NOT  disturb the current tenants asking to see the boat,  but e-mail me to set up a time to visit.)

And why do Amsterdammers love Amsterdam's Jordaan Quarter so much?
